Oh Boo. Yes, there should be a way to download a whole thread. I don't have Messenger on my phone either but perhaps you need to download it just for this task?
In Messenger app open conversation with Dad. At the top you should see his account name. Click on it. A list of actions should open. Click on Media/files. All photos etc should come up. I am not sure how to mass download, but you can then do it individually. Couldn't find a way of just downloading the wholebthread unfortunately.
Thanks Tannis - I found that - but there are hundreds of photos and comments and discussion that go along with them and I can't find out how to download everything... A couple of people have sent suggestions but they don't seem to be options on my laptop. Very frustrating.
