Wolves and the return of the mask

April 22, 2025 --Happy Earth Day!
Hi Nikki,

I loved your contour drawing of the acrobats, so I went back to the wolves and did one blind contour and one not-so-blind. I like them both a lot, and they are very good for loosening up the hand and eye. The third drawing is a giant driftwood stump on the beach, which has absolutely no movement at all! I was on hold with Telus while I drew it--and very grumpy--and it shows. It looks more like a geriatric rocket crashing towards earth! Or if you look at it sideways--a flying pig! Not my best work.

My internet switch to Telus is now scheduled for Thursday. Fingers crossed...

I don’t remember a time in my life when I have done so much dinner party socializing… yet another evening out has brought me to my drawing late!

Remember the mask I drew some time back?

Here it is again, this time captured in a rather uncontained blind contour drawing. I really enjoy doing these, even when the outcome is somewhat chaotic.
