Water dancer and a rainbow cat-chicken
Dear Sarah/Dear Nikki - Day 477 of our daily art adventure
Hi Sarah!
Because of a sudden flurry of cabinet moving after returning from the city, I needed something simple for my daily collage project.
These two elements seemed like they might play well together (you may recognize the negative space left over after I cut out the dancer from the other day…)
Here’s the end result:
Though the assembly didn’t take too long, I did have to hold the cutout over the top of many potential pages from random magazines before I found a suitable image.
That’s it for now -
Nikki
Hi Nikki,
Great juxtapositioning! Love the dancer’s hair.
I was out all day at various appointments and doing my Wednesday school pickup. I asked Kianna if she could do me a drawing of a rainbow chicken crossed with a cat, and here is what she created.
The story behind the rainbow cat chicken has to do with a book I am editing. The author wanted to know how a kid reader would respond to the idea of such a creature. Kianna thought it was hilarious and giggled a lot as she drew this.
I did a watercolour grid doodle which will probably end up as part of a collage. I did not giggle. Should have drawn a cat chicken instead.
