Tulips 4

Dear Nikki/Dear Sarah--Day 418 of our daily drawing exchange

Hi Nikki,

Working today, with a heating pad wrapped around my back and hip. Recovery is so much slower than it used to be. Used charcoal for today’s tulips, which are starting to get quite leggy. Ordinarily I would trim them, but I want to see what they’ll do without intervention.

Sorry to hear you are still wrapped in a heating pad :( At least it isn’t during a heat wave in August?

I have no idea what the tropical fish was I used as a model (it was unidentified in the photo), but it was fun to try to do a bit better job of actually drawing a fish (as opposed to my simple cartoony fish from the previous couple of days).

Tomorrow, I’m doing a cave expedition, in part to create some social media content for visitors/would-be Canmorons (such a terrible moniker, but catchy…). Dug around in the bottom of the chest freezer tonight and found - ta-da - a bone-in lamb roast! Cooked that in the InstantPot and, oh - so tasty.

Not sure what I might draw tomorrow after spelunking…
