Hi Nikki,
It's a "stick man" day for me--hence the tulip. I actually bought tulips today, but I totally forgot they were in the kitchen, so I used an IG 5-minute-flower again. Maybe tomorrow I'll draw some tulips from life. As you saw from my text, I finished the embroidery project, and I'm pretty proud of it. Totally worth the hand pain! Don't know if you can see it in the photo, but the flowers are exploding from Frida Kahlo's head (represented by her eyelashes, unibrow and hairline)! I'll be giving it to Jen on Saturday. Hope she likes it.
Glad I got the Rose and Don phone call finished today. Now I can go back (in Littleneck time) and write about the vicious voicemail.
XO S
Hi Sarah -
Meet Stick Cat - a sickly version of a ‘how to draw a cat…’ found online. I actually began by plucking a random grey brush pen from a coffee mug/pen holder and wondered - what could I draw with this? Things did not go too smoothly. Turns out I don’t have great control over brush pens and the addition of crayon colouring didn’t help much.
The writing went better - I have left Liam, Cass and Rose frolicking at the music festival thanks to some illicit adult beverages snuck in via the cooler. Oh, grownups behaving badly - this cannot end well.
Tomorrow, I’m off to Airdrie to meet a client but hope to be back not too late so I can keep writing (and, of course, planning to keep the drawing streak alive).
Until then - adieu!
Nikki
