I was going to do a self portrait, but got cold feet (or more honestly, cold face). I also couldn't figure out how to place the mirror and keep still for a portrait and draw at the same time. Or at least that's my excuse.

So I did a lesson from the Draw in 30 Days book, this one on drawing contoured tubes (as the basis for drawing waves, people, trees, arms, airplanes, cigars, space ships etc). It wasn't a particularly exciting exercise but obviously it will be pretty useful.

And yes, I know I could take a selfie and do a self portrait from that...

Today is another doodly day. In case you were wondering, last night I managed to find an apple in my bag and some leftover cheese in the mini fridge (mine, not leftovers from some random previous guest) so I did not starve to death nor did I have to venture out into the bitter cold.

After several appointments in the city earlier, I made it home back to the mountains, but it was a long busy day and I have no strength to draw anything ‘proper.’

But I put pen to paper and scribbled, keeping our amazing streak intact!

Looking forward to touching base tomorrow re. the thriller… it feels like forever since we had a working session. Though the word count has not gone up by much this week, I have been thinking a lot about Cass, her troubled past and how she plans to take her revenge. Very glad nobody is likely to read my search history…
