Taking direction and going in circles
Dear Sarah--Day 337 of our daily drawing exchange
Hey Nikki,
Great to be back on the island with you today. After a day of work, housecleaning, doing laundry, writing and putting up my Christmas decorations, I just wanted someone to tell me what to do (in terms of drawing, not in life, generally). So here is some holly, a couple of pine cones and a few curling leaves (using something called a V technique), all drawn using tutorials. Not exciting or original, but hey, still marks on paper.
Hi Sarah -
Yes, it does feel good to be back on Littleneck with our gang of characters :)
I am intrigued by your leaves - they look great, so twisty and curvy.
I had a likewise busy day, though a slightly different mix of things, including interviewing an author for a presentation we will do in January at the library - more on that closer to the time.
Despite the chilly temps and falling snow, I walked to the other end of town for that meeting (good thing it’s a small town) and from there to the climbing gym. While waiting for Fabio, I did a few super quick gesture drawings:
and then switched gears completely and started some simple zentangles:
I find doing these so relaxing, and it was good way to keep the virtual pencil moving before F. arrived. We climbed for a bit and have just arrived home starving hungry…
So, that’s that for today!
Nikki
