Sweet peas and paragliders

Hi Nikki,

I've been out all day and just did my next watercolour class--gradients, this time. Also attaching the sweetpeas from a couple of days ago, and hoping that tomorrow will include a bit more time to draw.

Hi Sarah!

I need a gradient lesson from you! I should have started with some sort of intense blue wash for today’s effort (like the one you did, top right). The sky this morning was gorgeous - the perfect backdrop for the paraglider who floated off the top of Miner’s Gully to the left of the Ha Ling summit.

I observed from the bottom of the valley on the other side of the river. The scale isn’t right - the paraglider was much smaller for most of the time I watched. Fabio was up there at the top of the mountain with a couple of friends, watching the gliders prep and sail off the top of the peak.

I think he’d like to take this up as an activity to keep him busy when not climbing up mountains. I’d love to try it - looks amazing to be soaring around with the birds!
