This odd effort is the result of an attempt to use a completely inappropriate tool (a super-fine pen) to capture the negative (supportive) space around one of my wooden fish-shaped book-ends. It was quickly apparent that this wasn't going to end well.

Pinecone oopsie! Carrying on from the charcoal drawing yesterday, I tried my hand at something with very challenging edges. I definitely overworked it, as you will see, and it looks more like a fuzzy pineapple, a moldy hand grenade or a mop! I should have drawn eyes on it and turned it into an owl. I think I'll try an orange or an apple next!
