Hi Nikki,
Long day today, lots of driving, lots of worrying. Managed to put pen to paper while I waited to go from one place to the next. Perhaps tomorrow I will be able to spend more time arting. I found a very strange old hard cover magazine (odd, I know) in a little library. It’s called Horizons, from 1961. Has some great images that are crying out to be collaged. But for today, three quick sketches.
Hello!
what a great collection of little sketches! I hope you found some distraction from worry while focused on drawing…
As I was checking in this evening for tomorrow night’s flight, it struck me that the WestJet colours are very distinctive. Used the postage stamp punch on my printed boarding pass from the flight in the other direction and then made use of one of the backgrounds I created last week. I must do more of those in various colour schemes - I have to say they have been very handy!
What a whirlwind trip this has been - not quite over, but looking forward to being back in the mountains late, late tomorrow night (technically, wee hours of Sunday morning).
Nikki
(p.s. also had a moment where I thought about how handy symbols are when conveying the essence of a tale - a few letters and numbers and a wee plane and, voila, that more or less tells the story. A little lacking in the details, but one knows a journey was taken…)
