Hi Sarah!
Mrs Griffith - 1906 - was photographed in Yoho Valley by Byron Harmon. She was my inspiration for this pen and ink sketch. Fortunately, she must be long dead so she can’t be too offended by my effort…
Today turned out to be much busier than expected, but we managed to accomplish a few things on our bikes - like book a MMR booster for me at the public health clinic, find - and then drop off vaccination certificates to our travel pharmacy, get digital passport photos taken for our Nepal permits, as well as show two properties. And, yes, as it was also a quasi date day, there may have been some cuddles and a couple of leisurely meals. All in all, I can’t complain - but I suspect I will now be playing catch-up tomorrow…
Would you like to go see a show (or two) at the Canmore Summer Theatre Festival? We can discuss when we finally see each other again!
Talk soon!

Hi Nikki,
I walked a lot today--once in the morning and once in the afternoon, and managed to fit in a bit of painting and a bit of drawing.
The class today was about light sources and shadows, using trees as examples. The result has no charm, but it was an exercise more than an attempt to make a beautiful painting. I did a bit more work on the ship--it now appears to have a hole in the hull--but it's getting there.
I'm loving Canmore. Not loving that my debit card was defrauded and had to be replaced. Grrr... TD was great about it--went to the branch in town and got a new card.
We walked by your house this afternoon--can't wait to see inside. And see you.
