Mid-air moments

Dear Nikki/Dear Sarah--Day 481 of our daily drawing exchange

Hi Nikki,

Feeling a little battle-weary tonight due to another action-packed day. Took the kids to Gyro Park where they spent a happy hour and a half climbing the Cadborosaurus and zipping on the zip line. Last week they asked me to take photos of them in mid air, and today I did some BC drawings from those photos. Catching motion is really hard! I could not get Kianna’s legs right! I also did a drawing of Kai just after a haircut, when he had a red mohawk (for about two days).

That’s it for me. I’m sore and tired. See you tomorrow morning.

these blind contour drawings are so alive, so much fun!

I took yesterday’s effort and cut it up and combined it with a photo of a landscape - but still not happy, particularly with the sky… However, it’s all very wet at the moment and I think I need to sleep on this and see if further variations tomorrow result in something a bit better.
