Hi Nikki,
Who do you think the new pope--er--prime minister will be? Guess we'll know in a few hours. I've spent most of the day in bed--sleeping, working, drawing, sleeping. Bit of groaning. Had to dash out to the nearest store for milk, but I think it'll be a couple of days before the boat rights itself and I can function properly again. Thank god for kind neuroscientists (and good friends).

Since I don't feel much like laughing right now, I drew a mask of a man in a hat laughing. On a walk in James Bay a while ago, I came across a utility pole that someone had attached numerous masks to. Gotta say, I absolutely love it when people take something utilitarian (quite literally in this case) and add art. After the pencil drawing I did three quick (and silly) contour drawings of the mask, also attached, with commentary.
I printed out Stabby Stabby today and hope to reconstruct it as one narrative tomorrow.

Hi Sarah -
Well, as of when I’m writing this, it looks like Carney and the Liberals will win, though whether or not a majority remains to be seen.
A sad little effort on my part today at the end of a busy. This whole week is shaping up to be fuller than even my regular full… Tomorrow I’m hosting an event at the library (for which I’m busily prepping) and all week working with some lovely clients - some from around the corner, others from distant parts, but all wanting to move here to the mountains (who can blame them?)
Did a final confirmation of the start time for the coming-at-us-fast poetry slam event here in town… for which Dani has done some fun posters and social posts.
Best of luck with carving up and reassembling Stabby-Stabby (our working name for the climax of our novel, for those who have not been following along too closely…)
But now… bed!!
Until tomorrow -
Nikki
