As expected, today was a busy day with Kai, who started the day with a bit of a cough and ended it with a full on nose-blowing, sneezing cold. No drawing was done, sadly. And I really, really hope I don't catch his cold.

Fortunately, last night I did a quick ink sketch of a heron (from a photograph I took last week). The heron's long neck was completely tucked away--that's not just my bad drawing!

Tried to be looser, and I think I succeeded with the far shore, building and trees. If only I knew how to draw water!

I now have bread to bake and soup to make. I'm such an old hippie.

So, I did not draw a rose (was tempted) but instead more or less followed along a quickie tutorial for flower doodling.

Despite the lack of time and lateness of the hour, satisfying to sit and draw something.

Fingers crossed you did not catch the plague…
