Hills, faces, and the G7 Summit

Hi Nikki,

As promised, here is the landscape painting I made using plastic wrap. Next time I will use more intense colours, but I do like the moodiness.

I meant to do my final drawing of the course, but, well, I fell asleep after a frenzy of housecleaning. This included all the windows and screens, as well as the usual stuff. Before that was a long walk, grocery shopping and laundry.

I'm also attaching a painting I made using leftover palette paint (and plastic wrap). I don't like the colours much, but I think the shapes made by using the wrap are really interesting.

Will draw now.

Oooooh - I like this effect!! Very cool! I quite like the subtle colours of the hills…

I started with this nondescript collection of muddy smudges and looked for faces.

Kind of a fun exercise that didn’t really go anywhere profound…

Some days are like that…

I’m trying to get used to the sound of fighter jets flying around, patrolling the skies over the G7 gathering.

Fabio made it into the Calgary Herald. Seems like the folks at the media centre where he’s stationed in Banff during the summit are staying healthy, so he has found other ways to be useful…
