Hi Nikki,
Tried out a face-drawing tutorial today but ended up with some pretty odd-looking folk, although I do kinda like the bald dude and the woman with the severe hair.
So then I drew a rose (also from a tutorial) and felt slightly better.
Hope you didn't have to trek back and forth to the city today.

Hi Sarah!
In the end, I didn’t have to go to the city but wound up doing a bunch of stuff here in town and around the house… And, managed to get a bit of reading done for the psychogeography self-directed study upon which Dani and I have embarked. I had no idea that Jekyll and Hyde and gothic London and the occult were all tied to the history and development of psychogeography (it just keeps getting better and better!)
Today’s reading touched on ley lines and how literature will shape the personality of a city (like eternally foggy, somewhat sinister London)… and so, I turned to collage. The piece isn’t quite dry so it might look a bit odd, but I was experimenting with printing ancient maps (of London) on tracing paper and then gluing the deconstructed (torn up) maps over images found online…
Given the theme of today’s reading was finding the imaginary/hidden/historical city that lurks somewhere just beyond the edge of consciousness, it seemed sort of appropriate.
Back to proper drawing tomorrow…
Until then,
Nikki
