Easter Doodles

Hi Sarah - Happy Easter!!

A quick trip in and out of the city to meet a client, then do some groceries, then back home to bake bread and do a bit of reading for school.

With a very fine-tipped pen in hand, started doodling little figures.

Also measured our kitchen cabinet doors as we thought we might see what IKEA might have that would be suitable to replace the ones we currently have. It seems that most, but not all, of the cupboards are a standard size which begs the question, what do we do about the oddball doors? ‘

Hi Nikki,

I'm not happy with anything I drew today. I added some more detail on Porto (as per the tutorial), but it's just getting muddier and muddier, so I'm going to stop for now and maybe try again (from the beginning) another time. At the end of the lessons there's a full size copy of the photo I was trying to work from--it was usually off to the side and small on my screen during the tutorials--so now I can see all the detail that he was talking about. Might have been a good idea to lead with "here's a good photo for you to refer to." Then I did a doodle that didn't look anything like the example and then I drew a bunny because Easter. The bunny's okay.

On the plus side, I had pancakes and bacon with C & H and the kids this morning, watched the Easter egg hunt in the backyard and then went for a family walk in the sun, wind and cloud that is Victoria weather right now. Tide was out at Willows, so I enjoyed a beach walk too.
