Distractions abound

Dear Sarah - Day 285 of our daily drawing exchange

Hi Sarah -

After a morning and early afternoon of schoolwork, laundry, and a quick trip to the grocery store, met friends at the beach for a swim. While there, we decided to hike up and up and up to this spot to watch the sunset:

There are some places that just feel magical, and this is one.

After that, dinner, then met up with F. who was having dinner at the other end of town with a big group of Italian guides and then, eventually home…

All of that has made me rather thirsty… and weary.

Hi Nikki.

There will be no glorious sunset here. Rainy and cold. I meant to get so much done today, but my back went out while I was walking near Portage Inlet this morning. Limped back to my car and came home, where I have been drinking tea and reading on my couch.

Today’s drawing (which I did a few days ago) is of the last two dahlia buds of the season. I hope that tomorrow I’ll be able to sit and draw again. And get my groceries. And do my laundry. And maybe work on our book.
