Departure
Dear Sarah - Day 262 ofg our daily drawing exchange
Hi Sarah!
Well, I’m on my way (ish) to Paris -
In the airport in Calgary, waiting to board. Fired up my iPad only to discover that all the brushes have been upgraded and replace and I couldn’t find anything! And, somehow, my laptop battery is nearly dead.
Found a plug. And a guy lying on a couch - sketchy sketching. He has a hat pulled low, sunglasses, and a beard - and the virtual brush I was using is a bit… coarse. So, hard to tell what’s going on. Maybe if you squint and tilt your head sideways you can sort of imagine what I’m seeing.
BUT, done before I take off and disappear for a few hours.
It was great chatting with you a few minut4es ago - talk to you again soooooon!
Nikki
Hi Nikki,
Welcome to Paris! Hope you and Dani found each other easily, and also found your apartment and a living cat! And once again, it’s 6:30 and I have no drawing, so it’s tutorial time. New person, good teacher, moves fast (until I hit Pause). Once again, I have a case of the muddies, but I had fun and I’ll try her again. Time to eat!
XO S

Niki, I love this and what you are doing with the sketching and the travel and the letters. I began teaching myself sketching and watercolor in "Letters to My Granddaughter" -- you may find this on my site, as I'm now posting the series.
