Hi Nikki,

My limited math skills tell me that today is the halfway point in our year of drawing dangerously. Can you believe it? 183 days without missing a day! And a first draft in the bag too. Not too shabby, my friend!

I painted something appropriately celebratory today. I started the YouTube watercolour class yesterday and today we played with bleeds! You have to work fast so your paint stays wet, but the results are glorious.

So here's to us, comrades in words and images.

those colours are punchy! And, yes - appropriately celebratory. Half a year of making stuff together - that’s pretty cool. And, yes - agree that it will be even more fun when we are here in the same place while we continue our creative explorations.

Meanwhile, over here in busy real estate land, it’s blind contour selfie to the rescue! I call this Blind Contour Stress Face because I don’t look exactly chillaxed in the photo I took for reference purposes.

These are so much fun - weirdest combination of fierce concentration in the looking department and loose lines in terms of what comes out of the pen!
