Dear Sarah -
February 28, 2025
I was thinking about the scene with the dead crow… Only long enough to scribble a quick sketch as we are on our way out again - tonight to a comedy show at ArtsPlace. Last night it was dinner (delish!!) with friends and the night before that, the one-act plays and tomorrow night, a poetry open mic… For a small town, there is a LOT going on! I blame my currently excellent entertainment schedule for my minimalist drawings…
Hi Nikki,
February 28, 2025
I noticed that yesterday you used 2026 for your drawing entry. Made me laugh. Are we there already? Doesn't feel like 365 drawings...
I worked again on single point perspective today, this time a city street. I don't exactly love it--it is singularly lacking in soul--but it's teaching me a lot.
Today I saw my doctor, and went for a long walk with a friend, ending up at Gonzales Beach. There were a lot of school kids on the beach (it was about 10 AM) and I idly wondered if Kianna was there with her class (her school is close by). And there she was, so excited to see me, full of hugs and chatter. It's pretty great to get a full on love bomb when you're not expecting it! On a beach, in the sunshine, no less.
Got my art supplies and some groceries and a couple of library books. Going to get my bread started now and settle in for dinner and reading.
I'm in a wee lull between big projects, so enjoying a bit of non-sick down time. Will do some writing on The Deadly Stet in the next couple of days. Don't want to lose the momentum.
XO Sarah
