Bare tree and a bed bug

Dear Sarah--Day 330 of our daily drawing exchange

Hi Nikki,

Another late start at drawing today. But I did make stock and then butternut squash soup for dinner, so there’s that. Someone on IG was doing a 30-days-of-winter-trees thing, which I thought was interesting. The trees, not the 30 days. I don’t need another commitment. So here’s the tree that last year I drew with a bunch of crows in it. This time it’s bare, except for the seed pods. Ink brush pen so I couldn’t get too fiddly. I do love black and white.

Likewise a late start on the drawing (done in a food court at a very busy mall in Calgary while waiting for Dani to run a few last minute errands before her flight). You will probably recognized the bed from last week, but instead of another version of me riding a bug, Kafka has inspired me to become one with my reading.

Just home now and heading warily for bed…
