Hi Nikki,
I had another go at the big anchor today, trying to add details like the benches behind the anchor and the scenery. Some of the spacing got lost somewhere along the line, but I'm fairly pleased with it.
Other accomplishments today include: working, doing a Pilates workout, making peanut butter-chocolate chip cookies, returning some watercolour markers to Amazon (only 34 of the 36 pens were in the package) and actually planning ahead for dinner instead of scrambling around when I realize I'm ravenous. It's done now (roast chicken breast and potatoes), so I'm gonna cook some fresh green beans and enjoy the fruits of my labours.
Hope your day was...less insane than yesterday.
XO S
Hi Sarah -
Sadly, today was just as bad as yesterday in terms of how much I crammed in, just slightly different stuff. It was full, full, full right up until a short time ago when my SFU class ended. This week, we were discussing Richard Van Camp’s The Lesser Blessed so the drawings I was doing in the margin (dead puppies) are entirely inappropriate for posting. So, I switched to more neutral doodling and wound up with the this collection of dots and squares. Bland does not require a trigger warning.
I LOVE how your anchor is evolving - it will be cool to put these drawings side by side at some point… but not now because that would involve me digging back through previous posts and images (not as well organized on my computer as they should be) to find the relevant anchors.
Tomorrow looks as though may include some breathing space, which would be lovely. A walk, maybe make some bread, draw before the midnight hour draws nigh…
See you then!
Nikki
