Hi Sarah -
It was so good to see you today and to get back to work on our book :) I am about to go and watch the Sir Grayson Perry video and will report back tomorrow how that goes. This evening was the weekly SAW comics Friday night workshop. I haven’t been to one in forever and spontaneously dropped in tonight. The theme was FIRE and it was lots of fun to go wild with flames real and metaphorical, past and future.

Hi Nikki,

My brother and I once set fire to a vacant lot, but that’s about the extent of my literal arson. I have burned many bridges, though, and stood in the blackened rubble of a few relationships.

Yesterday I saw a friend who is a wonderful photographer, and she showed me her photos of a late summer trip to Croatia. She sent me a couple that I particularly liked, and below is my sketchy first attempt at drawing one of them. To be continued. Intense blue sky, white buildings, red tiles roofs. Gonna take a while. Much shadowing to be done. Right now it’s pretty flat.
