I tried to pay particular attention to the shadows in this one, the supportive spaces. Keeping it simple used only a pencil, a smudge stick, and a bit (not much) of erasing…

I had plans to find a photo of my father and draw him, but life got in the way. So today's drawing is a thing called a ZenTangle--it's meant to be very calming, and I suppose it was.
On my walk today, I listened to one of my favourite podcasts--Ologies. Today's episode was an interview with a journalist named Julia Holtz who has written a book about salugenology, "a field focused on understanding what makes humans healthy, in contrast to pathogenesis which studies disease." Fascinating stuff.
I have been thinking a great deal about my father and his Paris passion. Having a lot of feels...
